Tasting notes are not obligatory poetry. They are an order: first the eye, then the nose, then the mouth. On Delampa’s sheets you will always see colour, aroma and palate, in that rhythm.
Sight
The depth —whether the wine is dark or transparent—, the rim (violet when young, brick when evolved) and the shine. A Jumilla red is usually deep.
Nose and mouth
Fruit, flower, spice, wood, terroir. In the mouth: attack, tannin, acidity, alcohol and finish. A good note does not list twenty aromas: it points to those that matter and whether the wine is in balance.
