Syrah came to Jumilla to converse with Monastrell, not to replace it. On the plateau it turns warmer than in the Rhône: black fruit, pepper, sometimes a soft smoke.
In the glass
Deep colour, a spicy nose, a mouth with present tannin but less rustic than a young Monastrell. It fits roasts, mushrooms and hard cheeses.
At Delampa
Delampa Syrah is the house varietal: D.O. Jumilla, cellar price, the same land with another accent. A way to understand that the plateau does not speak a single language.
