A young wine has not passed —or has passed very little— through wood. It speaks of the year and the grape, not of the cooper. In Jumilla it is the thirstiest Monastrell: blackberry, pepper, a living tannin.

It is not lesser

Young does not mean simple. It means another intention: the weekday table, the charcuterie, the heat. Éxodo Monastrell and Mr Jenares Monastrell live in that idea.

Service

A degree cooler than an aged wine —towards 14–16 °C— lifts the fruit. Too much fridge silences them.
